Pasata - Book Keeper (“the app”) is provided free of charge and is intended for use as is. This page explains what the app does and does not do with information, so you can decide whether to use it.
By using the app you agree to the handling of information described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
The app has no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours. The books you add, the people you lend to, your loan records, your notes, and the cover and profile photographs you take all live only in this app's own storage on this device. None of that content is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to read it.
Deleting the app removes that content from your device. Because it is never copied to a server, we cannot restore it for you, and we cannot delete it on your behalf.
We do not ask you for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information, and the app contains no registration or login of any kind.
The app does use third-party services, listed below, which may automatically collect technical and diagnostic information from your device in order to function — for example a device or advertising identifier, device model, operating system version, coarse region, and crash diagnostics. That collection is governed by each provider's own privacy policy. It never includes the books, people, loans, notes, or photographs you create in the app.
If you choose to add a cover for a book or a photograph for a person, iOS asks your permission to access your photo library. The image you pick is copied into the app's own private storage on your device so it can be shown on your shelf. It is not uploaded anywhere. The app requests no other permissions — no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts.

We may engage third-party companies and individuals to operate and improve the app, to perform app-related services, or to help us understand how the app is used. Where such parties receive information, they are obliged to use it only for the tasks we assign and not to disclose it or use it for other purposes.
When the app misbehaves, crash and diagnostic reports may be collected through the third-party products listed above. These reports can include your device's IP address, device name and model, operating system version, the state of the app at the time of the problem, the date and time, and similar technical statistics. They are used to find and fix faults.
Diagnostic reports do not contain the content you create in the app — your books, people, loan records, notes, and photographs are not included in them.
Cookies are small data files commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers, sent to a browser by the sites you visit and stored on your device.
The app does not set cookies of its own. However, the third-party services listed above, and the embedded YouTube player used for trailers, may use cookies, local storage, or similar identifiers as part of their own operation. You can manage these through your device and system settings; refusing them may mean parts of the app that depend on those services do not work.
The content you create is kept in the app's own sandboxed storage, which iOS isolates from other apps, and is protected by your device passcode and encryption where you have those enabled. Information handled by the third-party services above is protected according to their own practices.
We use commercially acceptable means to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
The app and this site may link to services we do not operate, including TMDB and YouTube. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices. Please review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under 13. The third-party services listed above may collect technical identifiers as described in their policies. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at the address below and we will take appropriate action.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date at the top will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
